Braces

Braces are devices used in orthodontics that align and straighten teeth and help to position them with regard to a person’s bite, while also working to improve dental health. They are often used to correct underbites, as well as malocclusions, overbites, open bites, deep bites, cross bites, crooked teeth, and various other flaws of the teeth and jaw. Braces can be either cosmetic or structural. Dental braces are often used in conjunction with other orthodontic appliances to help widen the palate or jaw.

At Cornerstone Family Dental we offer traditional stainless steal braces (wires, bands, brackets) as well as Invisalign treatment options.

Crowns & Bridges

Both crowns and most bridges are fixed prosthetic devices. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, which you can take out and clean daily, crowns and bridges are cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist. A crown is used to entirely cover or “cap†a damaged tooth.

Itero Digital Impressions

The iTero scanner allows your dentist to take a digital impression—a highly accurate, digital 3D image of the individual characteristics of your tooth surfaces and gum tissue. The iTero scanner is all about keeping you comfortable while delivering precise imagery, without the putty-filled impression tray that makes you gag!

Partials & Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available ” complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw.

Root Canals

During root canal or endodontic treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown.

Digital X-rays

Digital x-rays have many advantages over regular (plain film) x-rays including:

  • Immediate viewing of the imaged area with significantly less radiation exposure for the patient.
  • Better visualization of the area due to your doctor being able to digitally enhance the image on the computer screen.

Oral Cameras

Sometimes it is difficult for patients to fully understand the condition of their teeth in the same way the dentist does “ using an intraoral camera is a state of the art dental technical device that really helps you see for yourself exactly what is happening in your mouth.
